Artsy Craftsy

Learn new skills and hone your craft with different projects at each class. From painting to quilling to punch embroidery, Julie runs a fun and relaxing class.

Book Clubs

We have a variety of monthly book clubs to choose from. Each month we read a selected title then come together for a relaxed, engaging conversation. Light snacks are provided. Books are available for checkout near the main entrance of the library.

Card Making

Join Dawn as she walks you through the creation of hand-made cards each month. Perfect for sending to friends or displaying on your mantle.

Come Sew with Me

Join us for a beginner’s Machine Sewing Class. Learn how to set up your machine. Learn about tension, bobbin winding, threading the machine, and any other questions you may have. Sewing machines and materials are provided free of charge.

Cricut and Crafts

Learn how to use a Cricut machine and its different attachments and features. Make a different item each month. All supplies are provided free and you do not need a Cricut to participate.

Resume Class

Drop in to create or update your resume with expert advice from the Kentucky Career Center.

Veterans’ Coffee Hour

Veterans of all branches and eras are invited to a meet-up at MCPL featuring education and socializing over coffee and snacks in a laid-back atmosphere. Connect with others and build community. KDVA provides professional help free of charge to veterans in obtaining and using federal and state benefits to which they are entitled. They help veterans and their dependents make successful claims for benefits, privileges, rights, and other veteran services. Benefits include access to veterans’ nursing homes, burial with honors in veterans cemeteries, benefits counseling, and specific assistance for homeless and women veterans.
