Substitute Circulation Clerk

Part-time

The Meade County Public Library is seeking a friendly, dependable, detail oriented individual that can work up to 22 hours a week. This on-call position provides coverage for regular staff absences and includes evenings and Saturdays as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys working with the public, is comfortable with computers, and is committed to excellent customer service. Young Adult Programmer

Part-time

Do you have a passion for connecting with teens, community engagement, and creative programming?  The Meade County Public Library is looking for a creative, energetic, and community-focused YA Librarian/Programmer to lead our teen services!  The YA Librarian/Programmer will be responsible for planning and executing relevant programs for teens and young adults in the library and out in the community.  Duties will also include maintaining an outreach schedule to collaborate with community members, promoting library programs while staying in touch with current pop culture, and performing library clerical duties.

Our ideal candidate should, but is not required to have a bachelor’s degree. Other required characteristics include knowledge of YA literature, a love of reading, excellent communication skills, and experience leading programs/classes for teens.  The candidate should also be able to work independently, utilize computer skills, collaborate effectively with staff, and hold strong problem solving skills. A passion for helping teens gain skills to be successful in their personal and academic pursuits is desired. This position will require working evenings and some Saturdays.
